This September, children in Year 4 and Year 6 can apply to become a Warley Town School Ambassador through an election process.

This year, we have:

• 3 vacancies for Year 4 pupils, who will serve a two-year term (Year 4 and Year 5).
• 3 vacancies for Year 6 pupils, who will serve for one year.

Our current Year 5 Ambassadors were elected last year and will continue in their role for the second year of their term.

What is a School Ambassador?

School Ambassadors work closely with Senior Leaders throughout the year and play an important role in promoting and celebrating everything that makes Warley Town School special.

They are excellent role models who consistently demonstrate our school values:

⭐ Fun

School Ambassadors are expected to follow the Golden Rules, have good attendance, maintain high standards of behaviour and wear their school uniform with pride.

What do School Ambassadors do?

Responsibilities may include:

• Being outstanding role models across all areas of school
• Supporting and helping others
• Representing the school at special events
• Welcoming visitors to school
• Taking part in learning walks
• Taking part in health and safety walks
• Supporting assemblies, events and whole-school initiatives
• Meeting with the Headteacher each term
• Wearing their Ambassador lanyard with pride

Most importantly...

Being a School Ambassador is about representing the very best of Warley Town School.

We are looking for children who lead by example every day through their behaviour, attitude, kindness and commitment to learning. School Ambassadors should be children that others look up to and who make our school community proud.

Whilst Ambassadors may have opportunities to share ideas and contribute to school improvement, the role is primarily about being a positive role model and an excellent representative of the school.

How to Apply

Children who would like to become a School Ambassador should inform the Headteacher that they wish to stand for election and prepare a short speech explaining why they would be a good Ambassador.

Candidates will present their speeches in assembly before pupils vote for the candidates they feel would best represent the school.

Democracy in Action

Our School Ambassador election is a fantastic example of democracy in action. Pupils have the opportunity to listen to candidates, consider their qualities and vote for those they believe will best represent the values and standards of Warley Town School.

Successful candidates will be announced in Celebration Assembly.
