At Warley Town Community School, we are committed to ensuring that every child feels safe, valued and respected. We believe that positive relationships, kindness and inclusion are at the heart of a happy and successful school.

Bullying of any kind is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. We recognise bullying as a form of peer-on-peer abuse and take all concerns seriously. Any reports of bullying are investigated promptly and dealt with in line with our Anti-Bullying Policy.

We work proactively to prevent bullying by developing children's empathy, emotional intelligence and understanding of respectful relationships. Through our curriculum, assemblies, PSHE education, school values and positive behaviour systems, we help pupils learn how to treat others with kindness and respect. This reflects the preventative and supportive approach set out in our policy.

Anti-Bullying Policy

ach year, we participate in Anti-Bullying Week and support Odd Socks Day, joining schools across the country to celebrate individuality, respect and inclusion.

Through assemblies, discussions and classroom activities, children learn to:

• celebrate difference and diversity
• show kindness and respect towards others
• develop empathy and understanding
• recognise bullying behaviour
• know how to seek help and support others

These events reinforce our whole-school commitment to creating a safe environment where everyone feels welcome, secure and happy.

We encourage children to speak to a trusted adult if they are worried about themselves or someone else. Staff take concerns seriously and work closely with children and families to resolve issues quickly and effectively. This includes supporting both the child experiencing bullying and the child displaying bullying behaviour, helping everyone to learn and move forward positively.
