Each new starter is paired with a Fox Friend, who writes to them as they start school. Fox Friends help children feel welcomed and supported, building positive relationships and providing reassurance during their first weeks in school.

The role not only benefits our Reception children but also provides a valuable leadership opportunity for Year 6 pupils. As positive role models, Fox Friends develop their communication, empathy and responsibility skills while helping younger children feel happy, confident and included.

Throughout the year, Fox Friends continue to offer friendship, encouragement and support in the playground, as well as during special events and activities, helping our youngest pupils become part of the Warley Town family.
